It is a great honor to host the first Annual Conference here at Showa Women's University since SIETAR, Japan was acknowledged as an academic research organization by the Science Council of Japan. With prolonged recession and the impending US attack on Iraq, the world has filled with so much anxiety. I believe now is the time where all of us must come together to share experiences and knowledge to work out the way to peace. Nothing would make me happier than having this campus be the place to hold such meetings.

The University is located in Setagaya, Tokyo and it is 5 minutes from Shibuya by Denentoshi-line and 10 minutes by bus. I together with the Seven Dwarves of Showa, will look forward to seeing you in June!
