The 26th Annual Conference of SIETAR Japan
Call for Proposals

Intercultural Communication in the Medical, Nursing and Caring Fields
(October 29 & 30, 2011 at University of Hyogo, Himeji)

Conference Announcement

Today Japan confronts a declining birthrate and growing proportion of elderly among the population, which causes various challenges in communication among different generations and professions. At the same time, the global migration of health care professionals is occurring as people move to fill these needs. As interculturalists, we would like to examine the current domestic and global situation in the field of healthcare and consider how to utilize our research-based insights concerning these issues. We look forward to presentations that reflect this theme. In addition, proposals which discuss or focus on a unique practice, approach or theory from the past, present, and/or those that explore future directions in the field are welcome.

Please follow the guidelines below and be sure to submit your proposal by the deadline. We look forward to hearing from you.
