Tonight we will
- look at some cultural patterns and dynamics
- learn a simple process to clarify each context you will be working in
- whether as a trainer, educator, consultant, or a student.
- apply the process in small groups
- share our learnings concerning the process
PRESENTER:
Barbara Pirie, a cross-cultural and diversity consultant and trainer living in Fiji, focuses on the development of cross-cultural perspectives, strategies, and skills in organizations that want to be effective with both their global customers and their culturally diverse employees.
She uses systems thinking, especially pattern recognition and cultural dynamics, to enable clients to deal with the complexities they encounter. Her clients come from all sectors in the Pacific Islands, United States of America, and Canada.
She has recently completed writing a training module on Oceania for the web-based Cultural Detective program.
How to get there?:
i-Land Tower can be accessed directly from Nishi-Shinjuku Station
on the Marunouchi Line by following the underground path. From JR Shinjuku
Station it is approximately a 10-minute walk. Once you get to the building,
select an elevator that stops on the 4th floor. After you get off on the
4th floor, walk to the right until you get to the last door on your left.
