2005 Retreat

October 15 (Sat) & October 16 (Sun)

The Intercultural Education Praxis Seminar (Retreat) this year will be held in Izukogen on Oct.15 (Sat.) and 16 (Sun.). This is a wonderful opportunity for you to exchange new knowledge, information, and ideas while relaxing physically and mentally at an “Onsen” (hot spring) by the sea. Every year at the retreat, participants share their ideas for intercultural education and training with each other, and have an opportunity to introduce videos, exercises, simulations and other materials at a presentation session. The participants will find some improvements of facilities as the venue has been refurbished this year.

We have invited Dr. Joseph Shaules, associate professor of the Rikkyo University, as a special guest to conduct a workshop entitled “Deep culture-the hidden challenges intercultural learning” during our Retreat. Dr. Shaules appeared for six years on NHK's Crossroad Cafe.

This year again, SIETAR Japan would like to invite you to come and present your ideas. Please plan to join us.
