WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
Zen tradition is full of practical advice that help expand our awareness to the global level. It is practiced thru simple daily activities such as eating and cleaning mindfully.
Each participant will design a lesson linked to an aspect of Five Precepts to be practiced for a week. In the follow up session, we will examine our application and challenges in taking the mindful practice to everyday life. Wide application to teaching English and intercultural training is possible. Body awareness lessons precede to create the experience of stillness, the home of mindful living.
1.Enhancing body awareness and the experience of stillness as a home of mindful living (soft movement lessons)
2.Introduction to the Five Precepts of Zen Buddhism as a guideline for mindful living and how they have been applied as Zen at Work (as opposed to Zen in no action)
3.Designing your personal mindful practice which can be tried out in one week time ? the results and the challenges to be brought back to the follow up session for further improvement and implementation in the work situations.

* This will be an active workshop, so please dress comfortably. Bring water, a towel, and your bare feet!
