WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
The end of the year is a good time to take stock of our relationship to ourselves and to others by exploring ways in which we might improve our communication going forward. We will consider how we can take leadership of our personal experience by cultivating ourselves with bodymindfulness, an approach to becoming aware of and adjusting our inner state for more skillful communication. Personal Leadership (sm) provides us with six practices we can use to inspire ourselves to be and to work at our highest and best in the largest context we can create for ourselves at the moment. We will experiment with a variety of experiential exercises for both face-to-face and virtual communication with the intention of recognizing and shifting how we are resonating with ourselves and others, both when we are experiencing dissonance and conflict and when we are feeling calm, coherent, and harmonious.
WORKSHOP LEADERS:
After working as an educator in schools, corporate human resources, and universities, the facilitator currently teaches Personal Leadership (sm) and bodymindfulness in graduate schools (MAIR, Portland, OR and Waseda Graduate School of Asia-Pacific Studies) and workshops. She also enjoys coaching people who want to refine their English communication skills and presence for greater influence and impact. She served as President of SIETAR Japan from 2003-2005 and in various other roles before and since then.
How to get there?:
i-Land Tower can be accessed directly from Nishi-Shinjuku Station on the Marunouchi Line by following the underground path. From JR Shinjuku Station it is approximately a 10-minute walk. Once you get to the building, select an elevator that stops on the 4th floor. After you get off on the 4th floor, walk to the right until you get to the last door on your left.
