WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
We will do intercultural simulation Ecotonos. This simulation was created by Dianne Hofner-Saphiere of Nipporica Associates. The goal of the simulation is to learn how to communicate and work as a team with people from different cultural backgrounds. Ecotonos is used all over the world in intercultural training for businesspeople as well as students. SIETAR Japan trainers SIG took part in creating Ecotonos, so it is a special simulation for our Society.
Ecotonos is an extremely well thought out simulation which is designed to be carried out in long-term in-house training. However, we will be using the half-day short version this time.
WORKSHOP LEADERS:
Kyoko Yashiro Professor at Reitaku University, Senior Fellow of SIETAR Japan, Advisor of Diversity training at OBC Ltd. She uses Ecotonos in the trainings for businesspeople.
Eriko Machi Professor at Reitaku University, President of SIETAR Japan. She was member of trainers SIG and took part in creating Ecotonos.
