WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:

What is different about global leadership – In this workshop, Ms. Sakurai will introduce the research on global leadership by Aperian Global (http://www.aperianglobal.com/), a leading consulting firm that focuses on global leadership development. The session will be based on the book “What Is Global Leadership?: 10 Key Behaviors of Great Global Leaders”, which Aperian Global has published in June, 2011.

During the workshop, participants will have interactive opportunities including an analysis of self- assessment result based on the “GlobeSmart” tool with of 5 key dimensions of culture and a discussion on global leadership by using a video clip.  The materials used in this workshop are taken from the actual materials developed by Aperian Global, and currently used for cross-cultural programs and global leadership development programs in multi-national corporations.

This workshop is designed for educators and Human Resource professionals who seek to develop global leaders, as well as anyone who are interested in global leadership. Workshop will be conducted in Japanese; however the facilitator is bi-lingual and Q&A can be conducted in English. 

WORKSHOP LEADERS:
Ms. Sakurai is a Director of Consulting at Aperian Global, and she is currently based in San Francisco and Japan.  Ms. Sakurai is experienced in multi-national organizational development, teambuilding, leadership development, management skills training and executive coaching. Ms. Sakurai holds a MBA from the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley, with a certificate in Global Management and a BA in Commerce and Management from Hitotsubashi University, Japan.  Ms. Sakurai is a CPA, certified MBTI user license and NLP practitioner.  She is bilingual in Japanese and English.
