◆2021 Annual Conference :the conference program for the 36th SIETAR Japan conference is now available

Dear SIETAR Japan colleagues,

We are pleased to inform you that the conference program for the 36th SIETAR Japan conference is now available via https://sietarjapan2021.edzil.la/.

The conference is going to feature an internationally renowned leadership scholar, Prof. Joseph A. Raelin, young and inspiring Japanese women leaders, the Setouchi Kawaii club as the keynote speakers along with 36 English and 34 Japanese sessions including workshops, presentations, and poster sessions by leading scholars, practitioners, and students from around the world.

The early bird deadline is November 8th (Monday). During this period, students can register for free and SIETAR members can take advantage of the 3000 yen (26USD-23EURO) membership fees. Therefore, we encourage you to complete your registration and purchase your ticket as soon as possible. (Please see attached the PDF for registration and payment instructions).

After you’ve created your account on the conference website, you can update your profile by clicking on the spaceman icon (beside the heart symbol) at the top right corner, and add your name, add affiliation, and a short bio.

Dear SIETAR colleagues and friends,

We would like to extend a warm invitation to all SIETAR colleagues and friends across the globe to participate in the 36th SIETAR Japan conference on November 27-28.

The conference is going to feature an internationally renowned leadership scholar, Prof. Joseph A. Raelin, young and inspiring Japanese women leaders, the Setouchi Kawaii club as the keynote speakers along with 36 English and 34 Japanese sessions including workshops, presentations, and poster sessions by leading scholars, practitioners, and students from around the world.

Conference fees (During the early bird period October 1-November 8 midnight JST)
Members (including SIETAR members in overseas regions) 3000 yen
Non-members 5000 yen
Keynote only 1500 yen
Students (including high school students, vocational school students, graduate students, etc.) free of charge

After the Early Bird deadline (Nov. 8), all participants will be asked to pay 5000 yen.

* Those who only purchase keynote tickets can attend both Japanese and English keynotes.

• Bank transfer (Please note that it takes approximately two weeks to confirm the payment via bank transfer. If you wish to make a bank transfer, you should allow yourself two weeks before the conference date.)

Dear SIETAR Japan members,

We are pleased to announce that registration for the 36th Annual Conference, which will be held online on November 27 and 28, will start on Friday, October 1, 2021.

The theme of this year’s conference is “Leadership and Collaboration in Intercultural Contexts”.

The conference will feature a renowned international leadership scholar, Prof. Joseph Raelin (English) and young and successful women leaders of the Setouchi Kawaii Club (Japanese).

This year, we have adopted an early bird system for conference registration.

SJ members who register during the early bird period from October 1 – November 8 midnight can take advantage of the special reduced rate of ¥3,000. Students who register during the early bird period are free.

After 24:00 (JST) on Monday, November 8, ALL participants (both members and non-members) will be asked to pay a flat fee of 5000 yen for conference registration. This includes students who normally attend the conference for free.

Therefore, we would like to ask all participants, including students, to register before the Early Bird deadline to take advantage of the early bird fees.

◆2021 Annual Conference :Call for proposals

Dear SIETARIANS,

It is with great pleasure that SIETAR Japan invites you to our 36th Annual Conference.

Theme:  Collaboration and Leadership in Intercultural Contexts

Date:       November 27 (Saturday) and 28 (Sunday), 2021

Venue:    Online

Call for proposals: July 1 (Thurs) to July 31 (Sat) 23:59(JST)

Registration: SIETAR Members from any region ¥3,000

Non-members ¥5,000/ Students (with valid ID) Free

 

SIETAR Japan is seeking proposals that are related to the field of intercultural communication and/or reflect the conference theme. We look forward to receiving your submissions.

Membership required.  For presenters who reside in Japan: You must apply for Membership of SIETAR Japan before June 20 (Sunday), and the deadline for your membership payment is June 30 (Wednesday) to ensure that your membership information has been processed and that you have a Membership number (required for submission). If you are not an SIETAR Japan (SJ) member but belong to another SIETAR organization, we welcome you to participate in our conference on the same basis as SJ members. Please enter the name of your SIETAR organization and your membership number in the appropriate section when submitting.
