ワークショップ内容/WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
ドラムサークルは、世界の打楽器(タイコやマラカス等)を使って行う、’いま、ここ’の即興演奏。そのカギは、コミュニケーションとエンパワーメントです。年齢・職業・音楽経験の有無・国籍文化・性差・性格その他の異文化が、ことばを超えて共鳴しあい、深い共通体験を得ることができるでしょう。また、’外向き’のコミュニケーション(他者との新たな出会い)のみならず、’自分の内側’とのコミュニケーション(自分との新たな出会い)もお楽しみください。
Drum circles use rhythm to explore and inspire group empowerment, communication and community building. “Be here now” is the discovery that comes from this powerful performance. Beyond cultural definitions such as age, job, musical experience, nationality, gender and personality, a sense of community is built. Communication not just with others but also new avenues within yourself is achieved.
講師/WORKSHOP LEADER:
アフリカ音楽の紹介に携わった後、「ドラムサークルの父」アーサー・ハルに師事、日本人唯一のアドバンスコース修了者(04&05年)。2005年、DCFG( 国際ドラムサークル・ファシリテーター協会)の第一回認定プロフェッショナル・ファシリテーターとして選ばれる。日本音楽療法協会会員。2004年日本音楽療法学会総会では「高齢者の即興領域：老人介護施設におけるアーサー・ハル式ドラムサークルの身体的・心理的・社会環境的影響」をテーマに発表。2004年より日本でのアーサー・ハルによる研修を主催。フェスティバル、その他イベント、教育・福祉関連施設、企業等で、これまでに１万人をこえる参加者を対象にドラムサークル/リズムサークルを行う。訳書・監修書に『ドラム・マジック』（ミッキー・ハート著 工作舎）『ドラミング〜リズムで癒す心とからだ』（ロバート・L・フリードマン 音楽乃友社）『ドラム・サークル・スピリット』（アーサー・ハル著 ATN刊）他。
After first encountering African music, Kaoru Sasaki became the only Japanese to complete her advanced drum circle training under Arthur Hull, the father of the drum circle community (2004, 05). In 2005, she was named the first international drum circle facilitator by DCFG, the Drum Circle Facilitator Guild (http://www.dcfg.net/dcfg06/home.html). She is also a member of the Japan Music Performers Association. In 2004, she presented at the association’s annual conference on using Arthur Hull’s techniques for physical, psychological and social well-being of the elderly and infirm. Since then, she has been instrumental in bringing Arthur Hull’s teachings to Japan. Participants in the drum circles she has led now number in the 10,000’s and include people from all walks of life ? educators, social workers, business people attending her seminars, music festivals and other drum/rhythm circles. She has translated several works, including Drumming at the Edge of Magic, by Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart, Healing with Drumming and Rhythm by Robert L. Freedman, and Drum Circle Spirit by Arthur Hull.
