The purpose of SIETAR Japan is to promote intercultural education, training, and research that are essential for fostering smooth communication and cooperative relationships among people and organizations with diverse cultural backgrounds. Regardless of field—whether education, business, or international exchange—and regardless of background such as race, ethnicity, age, faith, or sexual orientation, SIETAR Japan seeks to provide a forum where researchers, practitioners, and students interested in intercultural communication can interact, exchange diverse perspectives, and engage in the practice of creative and dynamic cultural synergy.
Furthermore, in order for all people around the world to respect diversity and enjoy fairness and a sense of belonging in a society free from discrimination and guided by the principle of “leaving no one behind,” SIETAR Japan is committed to learning together, creating new knowledge collaboratively, and putting it into practice.
SIETAR Japan works in partnership and collaboration with the SIETAR SIETAR Global Network worldwide.

What models help us describe and make sense of turbulent, ambiguous environments? What might coaching models offer to support clarity and mutual understanding? In this highly interactive 2-hour online session, we will examine real-world cross-cultural partnering examples and explore how key coaching models can fundamentally inform how organizations plan and implement these relationships. Together, we will discuss and apply practical frameworks to cross-cultural case studies, engaging in collaborative reflection on when and why descriptive, sense-making, and coaching models might work best in uncertain global landscapes.

About the Presenter:
Julie Weste is a global executive coach, coaching supervisor, and facilitator specializing in positive psychology, well-being, and change and transition, with clients spanning organizations and individuals worldwide. She holds dual accreditation – EMCC Senior Practitioner and Coaching Supervisor (ESIA), and ICF ACC – and serves as the EMCC Ambassador forAustralia. (EMCC: European Mentoring and Coaching Council; ICF: International Coaching Federation). She is an advanced positive psychologycoach, strengths coach, Meaning and Purpose practitioner, and is certified in Mental Health First Aid. As the founder of Qoligenic, a global coaching and well-being business, Julie brings over 25 years of experience in organizational transformation and cultural change across diverse industries. Her academic background includes a Master of Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP), an MBA, and postgraduate study at Harvard University.

We are pleased to announce that the 41st Annual Conference of SIETAR Japan will be held at Toyo University Hakusan Campus on Saturday, November 14, and Sunday, November 15, 2026.
