In 2013, Dr. Kichiro Hayashi founded CCD, officially Co-Creative Dialogue, drawing inspiration from physicist David Bohm’s On Dialogue. This approach emphasizes active listening, where participants attentively receive others’ remarks, reflect on them, and enhance creative dialogue for “better” solutions for all.
CCD continues to deepen our understanding of pressing social issues while exploring a variety of themes to foster enrichment and creativity. Through physical movement, including vocal expression, we strive to strengthen and discover our inner voice of wisdom.
CCM is an experiential intercultural training method developed in the 1960s by Dr. Edward Stewart. The method uses a role play of real-life situations, which is subsequently discussed and analyzed in depth. CCM is useful for raising participants' awareness of cultural values and behavior which “contrasts” with their own. Participants often gain more insights about their own culture.
The Living Within Diversity SiG is a group who focuses on raising awareness of diversity issues. The goal of the MusIIC is to explore interdisciplinary and holistic approaches to improve communication skills and intercultural competence. We value experiential learning methods focused on "felt-sense" - psychosomatic part of intercultural competence. We are also committed to explore ways to learn how to learn with "fun." Our exploration includes approaches through drawing, drama and movement work, etc. to promote resilience, empathy, and communication Competence.
